The Profile of Industrial Engineering Students in Different Higher Education Institutions in Brazil

The study presents an analysis of the profiles of Production Engineering students across different types of educational institutions. Microdata and the Student Questionnaire, provided by the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP) in 2019, as well as the classification of universities into typologies by Schwartzman et al. (2021), were used. Physical, socioeconomic, family characteristics, employment status, and academic motivations were considered in the study. The results show that there are differences in student profiles according to the type of institution
